My practice stretches into a wide range of processes in 2D, 3D and moving images. However, I always return to mixed media paintings that invite the viewer for a closer look, since they challenge first impressions. I find inspiration in the loneliness of the rural landscape of Norfolk. Before achieving an MA in Fine Art, I had a career as a scientist which influences my attention to detail as well as my search for connection between us, and our surroundings. My work plays on the idea of meaning and significance in objects and images.
