Note: if you are viewing this on a mobile device there seems to be a glitch where the dates aren't showing properly. I won't be fixing this as the same problem doesn't appear to be happening with actual artist pages that the public see. I live and work in Wells-next-the-sea, a beautiful. vibrant seaside town in North Norfolk. I was born in this wild windswept countryside and my art reflects my roots.
I spent many years working in a local college, Paston, teaching Art and Textiles. I have always loved to research and use my findings to inspire my art.
SMOCK, my textile company, was born when I retired, using the shape of the traditional Slop as inspiration for my SMOCKS and lining them with iconic British Prints from Liberty of London. Since then, I have added SMOCK Aprons based on the Japanese apron worn in the last century to cover your clothes around the home during the day.
I also love to hand embroider stories from my history, of sea adventures and childhood memories.
