I’m a Norfolk-based sculptor working primarily in clay, creating character-led busts and figures that sit somewhere between portraiture and storytelling. All of my work is hand-built, shaped slowly and intuitively without moulds or fixed plans, allowing the form and expression to emerge naturally through touch and response to the material.

I’m drawn to faces that feel familiar but not specific - figures that suggest a life, a history, or a quiet inner world without representing a particular person. Subtle asymmetry, texture and surface detail are central to my process, built up through layering, reworking and leaving traces of the hand. These marks give each piece a sense of honesty, individuality and presence.

While this body of work focuses on human faces, my wider practice also includes animals and figurative forms. I work under the name Sculpted Souls, reflecting my interest in creating pieces that feel quietly alive - sculptures that carry character, warmth and a suggestion of story, inviting people to connect with them in their own way.
