Description:
Colourful rural, coastal and floral landscapes. I use oils on wood or canvas to create the patterns, texture and vibrancy of light that I see in nature.

Josephine Art paintings are inspired by the beauty of nature and a passion for capturing vibrant colours and light.
My work as a graphic designer informs the shapes and composition that I find within the landscapes that I observe. Edging towards semi-abstraction I'm inspired by the local landscape and floral forms.
I draw from memory and imagination, exploring atmosphere and light through a rhythm of colour, and a considered balance of pattern, texture, and form.
