Note: if you are viewing this on a mobile device there seems to be a glitch where the dates aren't showing properly. I won't be fixing this as the same problem doesn't appear to be happening with actual artist pages that the public see. Colour is my inspiration and each painting is created with a passion for capturing the vibrancy of nature and a joy of mark-making, form and composition. My work as a graphic designer informs the structure and order that I find in the landscape.
Edging towards semi-abstraction I use a mix of observation and memory, to create paintings that can float between a representational reality and an imaginative response to the atmosphere that continues to resonate from visiting a location or observing flora. Colour combinations and interactions will often continue the paintings journey to its final conclusion.
