Note: if you are viewing this on a mobile device there seems to be a glitch where the dates aren't showing properly. I won't be fixing this as the same problem doesn't appear to be happening with actual artist pages that the public see. Patchwork fields and dancing teapots… my intention is to bring to my work, at times a sense of the mischievous, mixed with an atmospheric calm.
Absorbing my coastal surroundings; Simple, fluid, light filled and rhythmic.
A repeating pattern of vibrant colour…
…whilst carrying with me a nostalgia and remembering of childhood imaginings.
Always most inquisitive about looking behind the obvious, to the spaces between and stories that lay beyond.
Organic, curvaceous clay work.
Landscapes, sculpted carefully and
intentionally with a palette knife or brush. Imaginative still life, intuitive paintings and so very much more.
With the sea beside me and the sun warming me and the breeze breathing me… A constantly evolving exploration of life.
Raised in leafy South London, I developed a passion for art in my very early years and sustained throughout school days; I went on to study at Camberwell, London and Brighton School of Art; attaining foundation and BA Honours Degrees
Working as both a fine art painter and illustrator, I produced work for various prestigious publishing houses and galleries. Until an accident in the mid 90’s curtailed my career.
A necessary change found me starting over as a dance instructor Dj and event organiser. Also training and working as a life coach and spiritual mentor.
From my Mundesley clifftop studio, with uninterrupted sea views, I continue to coach, and have returned full time to my first love of painting.
I have exhibited in various London, Brighton and Norfolk Galleries; most recently, The Yare, Great Yarmouth, Salt house North Norfolk and The Crypt Gallery, Norwich.
Working mainly in Oil and acrylic but also vibrant watercolour, I hope that my enthusiasm and love of life transmits to you through my work.
Thank you for taking an interest in my story.
