My name is Carolyn (Futter) Smith. I started my art journey with a foundation in Art at The Great Yarmouth College of Art and Design, and continued my studies at The Bryan Shaw School of Painting and Drawing, London. I am inspired by the natural world and influenced by the nature of my native Norfolk. My work is constantly evolving and I work in a variety of media, from Painting and Drawing to Needle Felted Sculptures. Whilst some of my work is based in realism, I enjoy the freedom of creating imagined landscapes, being heavily influenced by the memories and emotions of place.
