Note: if you are viewing this on a mobile device there seems to be a glitch where the dates aren't showing properly. I won't be fixing this as the same problem doesn't appear to be happening with actual artist pages that the public see. I am a storyteller, whether through the humour of my cartoons or the emotion in my paintings and sculptures. While my 'Tottering by Gently' strip cartoon in Country Life Magazine is well known (having been running for 32+ years), my creative world is far broader. My paintings and sculptures are intuitive, textural and expressionist - driven by emotion rather than intention. Each piece stands alone, like a single sock without an obvious pair. Faces may emerge and dissolve within the layers but the work is never about decoration; it is about intrigue. My art asks questions rather than answers them, inviting conversation and curiosity.
My cartoon website is: www.tottering.com
My sculpture website is: www.annietempest.com
My paintings need to be visited in person.
