Note: if you are viewing this on a mobile device there seems to be a glitch where the dates aren't showing properly. I won't be fixing this as the same problem doesn't appear to be happening with actual artist pages that the public see. ‘Hidden Norfolk & Endangered'
Anne Filgate
Artist in pastel, w/colour & acrylic.

My husband and I have lived, worked & raised our children in The Broads National Park over the past 40 years. My painting is inspired by our Norfolk seas, beaches, riverbanks and deepest countryside.

I now include changing environments such as the warming seas in my work. Over the last couple of decades Climate Change has brought increasing numbers of grey & common seals to our local beaches. We warden for the Friends of Horsey Seals.

Puffins are not native to Norfolk coasts but are very endearing. I include them in my ‘Endangered’ subjects. In winter, periodically rats invade their island burrows and in summer they need to travel further and further south to find their traditional food, sand eels.

My Art
I sell original framed paintings and 1/40 limited editions.

My Craft
I work with a very creative firm, Impact Solutions, who put my images onto glass chopping boards, aprons, t-towels, ceramic 5” pot-stand tiles (with the option to attach hooks to their backs to display them). In addition, I sell my images on cushion covers with cushions fillers, Durham & bone china mugs, notebooks & I now include changing environments such as the warming seas in my work.

Over the last couple of decades, Climate Change has brought increasing numbers of grey & common seals to our local beaches. We warden for the Friends of Horsey Seals. voluntarily where we enjoy answering questions about the seals from the thousands of visitors.
