Note: if you are viewing this on a mobile device there seems to be a glitch where the dates aren't showing properly. I won't be fixing this as the same problem doesn't appear to be happening with actual artist pages that the public see. Continue to follow the driveway round as it bends right and heads downhill through the buildings, following signage to West Acre Art Gallery. Studio diagonally opposite gallery.

Originally trained in Printed Textile Design I now tend to define myself as a mixed-media artist. I enjoy expressive experimentation, regularly combining different materials and methods to build layers.
My work demonstrates a propensity for mark-making, pattern, surface and colour - sometimes illustrative, sometimes abstract. I particularly enjoy exploring combinations of drawing, simple print-making techniques and collage – often fusing separate hand-created elements digitally to form a unique image.
I love to play with a variety of materials and approaches and to respond intuitively before then selecting and choosing areas of interest to build from and focus in on. I'm a bit of a creative magpie…drawn to things that grab my attention be they words, phrases, found imagery, metaphors, scribbles, shapes, natural objects…collecting these together, documenting, altering and translating them to create something new.
Alongside my own artistic practice I also facilitate the creativity of others -
delivering workshops in a variety of settings and small-group sessions from my studio (for further information about these please follow the link above to my BookWhen booking site).
