Note: if you are viewing this on a mobile device there seems to be a glitch where the dates aren't showing properly. I won't be fixing this as the same problem doesn't appear to be happening with actual artist pages that the public see. My practice is both a meditation and celebration of the natural landscape. I use the art of drawing to formulate and depict geographical constructions.
Painting grounds me to the earth, to nature, where I can capture a sense of stillness, solitude and isolation of the undulating land. For me, the dynamism of the natural landscapes as an image, provides a personal space for contemplation, restoration, and reflection.
I use illustrative mark making processes balanced with aesthetic considerations of colour, line and pattern. Each painting is a manifestation of a psychological imprint of the seasonal beauty of the natural world.
I am fascinated by horizon, where land meets atmosphere, perspective, and the organic construction of the land.
