For over 20 years, Em has been painting landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes, wildlife, and figures using oils and cold wax.
Every piece she create is a memory of a time, a person, a feeling, or a place, expressed through an imagined version of what lives in the landscape, the room, or the body language.
Her work has loosened and become more vibrant as she discovers new colour mixes and harmonies. Depending on the mood, it can be energetic, varied and full of life, or soft with quiet passages.
She is drawn to colourists and modern Impressionists, and she loves experimenting with texture using silicone blades, wedges, rollers, sponges, and sprays. Cold wax gives her the wonderful matte finish she adores.
She has exhibited in galleries across the England and was honoured to be a wildcard on Landscape Artist of the Year. But what moves her most is when collectors connect with the narrative behind each piece. When a painting brings someone to tears because it hits home, she is reminded that every artwork has its person.
Em believes art is deeply personal and hopes you find a piece that speaks to you.
