Note: if you are viewing this on a mobile device there seems to be a glitch where the dates aren't showing properly. I won't be fixing this as the same problem doesn't appear to be happening with actual artist pages that the public see. David Lendrum’s paintings are abstract but derived from nature. He is inspired by the sunsets, landscapes, clouds or flowers at his home in Ringstead. He often works with diluted acrylic paint, staining it directly into the unprimed canvas, which he then develops with thicker paint as required. He also paints on primed canvases where the paint is applied in thicker layers using brushes, palette knives and scrapers to create strong textures. Intense, vibrant colours are used to maximum expressive effect in order to create a sense of feelings and mood.
