With a background in graphic design from the 80’s and, more recently, 10 years’ experience working in Adult Education, I set up my own business; CoraCora, in 2014 (Cora = Creating Original Realistic Art). Since then, I have created some 260 pet portraits & now run my own art courses in Cromer, North Walsham & Norwich.
I am a member of the NWAS (Natural World Art Society) & exhibit with them at Banham Zoo and The Forum in Norwich.
Writing my bio has been a challenge; trying to define my art style & put that into words, my choice of medium & subject, has been tricky! Since picking up my art materials again in earnest in 2014, I have reignited my love for pastels, experimented with oils, watercolour, acrylics, inks & I have completely fallen in love with gouache again! So, how can I define what I do when I am still enjoying the exploration of mediums, their possibilities & the exciting results of mixing them up?
In truth I am still waiting for the 36-hour day, so that I can do all the things I need to do & still have time to paint! But until that time arrives, I will continue to play around with new ideas, focusing on wildlife & landscape; for who could not be inspired by our beautiful Norfolk scenery?!

If you visit my studio, you will be most welcome & will be greeted by a wide range of work; when I have had pop-up shops, folk have often asked, “Is all this work yours?” The answer is ‘yes’, for as I continue my artistic journey, my style & ability to capture what I see is an ever-changing carousel of images. I kind of resist being tied down to one style or subject…

‘I feel I am a free spirit, still on my journey of artistic exploration & when I find my niche… I’ll let you! Until then, I believe a creative life can lead us on many twists & turns, & as artists we must respond to new challenges & opportunities as they arise. If we have a creative eye & mind, we should be able to learn from every new experience & use any new knowledge to further our own development & creative process!’
