Description:
My work is mostly mixed media as I like to blend colours and textures to get the the effects that I want for my pictures.
I also enjoy making collages as it is exciting to produce a picture from paper

The studio is my bungalow and is in Overstrand, about 1.5 miles south of Cromer on the main A148 coast road to Mundesley. I live in Tolls View at the top of a very small hill, the entrance to Tolls View is right next to the entrance the Belfry School, which is about half way through the village. My bungalow is the first bungalow at the top of the road and there are parking spaces at the top of the road and in front of my garage.
Elizabeth Coe -
Having been a fully trained florist for 20+, I then changed careers and then worked as a teaching assistant (for children with special needs) for 16 years, a career a thoroughly enjoyed. I had to retire early in 2015 due to suffering from Parkinsons, and in 2021 when my husband retired we decided to move to the coast and picked Overstrand in Norfolk to make our home.
I started painting soon after I moved to Overstrand, when I joined a small art class that was being run in the Belfry Centre right at the bottom of my road.
Learning to paint was something that I always promised myself I would do when I retired.
I find painting and other forms of art, a great way to relieve and help with some of my Parkinsons symptoms. I always hope that what I am doing will inspire others, with life changing disabilities, to try something new and add a new dimension to their lives.
I mostly enjoy painting seascape pictures that remind me of the coast line where I live. I love to spend a few hours on the beach, no matter what the weather, sketching and then later in my studio, painting what I think represents what I have seen on the beach that day.
I hope you will find this reflected in my paintings when you pop in to see them.
