I won't be fixing this as the same problem doesn't appear to be happening with actual artist pages that the public see. I’ve transferred my love for printmaking to ceramics. Using stencils, offset slip-transfer and other techniques I create surfaces full of colour and pattern. Inspired by nature and my travels, I will work on the sea fish of our shores for one project, orchids for another or ceramic versions of Shaker bent-wood boxes. Whatever is interesting. I work with all types of clay, stoneware being my favourite. Most of my work has the potential to be practical, such as pots, vases, jugs and bottles. I also produce purely decorative sculptural pieces.
Some of my hand-printed pieces are still available to buy.
I also produce woven scarves and wraps. I am a member of the Worstead Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers. I work with two looms - a rigid heddle and a Japanese Saori. It’s a wonderful counterpart to working with clay. I weave wearable pieces using cotton, wool, mixed fibres and quite a few vintage yarns. Saori techniques encourage the weaver to be very exerimental and instinctive with the fibres and to take some risks. There are intentional errors and unusual textures can be created. Each piece is unique.
