Note: if you are viewing this on a mobile device there seems to be a glitch where the dates aren't showing properly. I won't be fixing this as the same problem doesn't appear to be happening with actual artist pages that the public see. If you want to check the dates either go to the editing area in the Members' area or have a look at your actual artist page by clicking on your image here

Artist, teacher, and therapeutic art practitioner. I have a MA and BA in art and design, and have worked in schools, colleges, NHS mental health services and ran my own therapeutic art practice working with people experiencing trauma and mental illness, using art as a therapeutic intervention. I have always felt a strong sense of time, and I am fascinated by the world around me, how I am a part of it, of nature, and my art work is really a fundamental processing of this experience, of my experiencing of being in and of this world. As well as nature, human behaviour intrigues me and I am forever curious. Thus, art is an investigative process for me, and a holistic experience, of mind, body, spirit and emotion. I am fascinated by perception, believe in looking within, a place where a better world, equity and love start with me, not out there. Paint and the process of of painting allows for an expression of such physicality, sensuality and enquiry. Texture, mark making, repetition, layers, are what make up the formulaic tapestry of life. Words contribute to my inner interpretation of this, and with paint, are a part of my voice, a visual, visceral language.
