Holly is zestful story teller using clay as her choice of medium to bring the thrill of the outside inside. Holly’s homeware pieces vary in form however, are now mostly hand built enjoying the time to make each piece. They portray encounters with her surf, diving and wild swimming through use of engobe, bold coloured slips and handmade reactive glazes. Amused, Holly explores the extensive process of experimentation and enjoys the process of building textures, layering the slips and reactive glazes in a controlled way before offering her vessels to the heat of the kiln. Holly creates both highly decorative display pieces and functional mugs, earrings and vases ranging from £22- £260.

Holly gained a first-class honours degree in Design Crafts (glass, ceramic, metal and textiles) at De Montfort University Leicester in 2018. After completion Holly participated in events One Year on, New Designers and went on to work for ceramicists Sue Pryke in Her busy Enderby studio and Hannah Tounsend supporting her at the British Ceramics Biennial and Ceramic Art London before relocating to her new studio and home in North Norfolk. Holly is now the Senior Art Facilitator at supported art studio Barrington Farm in Walcott, Norfolk.
