Amelia Mills is a Norfolk artist primarily known for her abstract resin paintings which are bold, colourful and have a glass-like finish. Alongside the resin work Amelia also creates small linoprints and watercolour illustrations inspired by the garden and wildlife around her. There will a selection of work available, ranging from cards and small unframed prints to large resin paintings.
In 2017 Amelia was commissioned by British Airways to create a painting for the First Class magazine cover.
"Behind each painting is a detailed thought process which gives me a general idea of how the finished work will look. However, I try not to impose limitations, allowing spontaneity and creativity to flourish. I enjoy having an element of chance when I'm working, it allows a painting to evolve organically throughout the process.
My style and method of working is continually progressing, which I find fulfilling and exciting! Ultimately, my art will always be my personal interpretation of the astonishingly beautiful planet that we inhabit, and my hope is that it can encourage others' appreciation and love of the natural world."
