I have always loved working with clay from a young age, later studying portrait sculpture, general ceramics, throwing at the wheel, surface design, glaze chemistry and most recently mold making. I especially love working with slip, and scraffito - carving shapes and patterns into the leather hard clay. My other favorite is using translucent celedon glazes influenced by Japanese ceramic traditions.
